Fly to Lijiang, Yunnan.
Drive from Lijiang to Lugu Lake via the new road, which will take about 6 hours. Lugu Lake overlaps the Yunnan-Sichuan border and is the center for several Tibetan, Yi and Mosuo villages. The lake has an altitude of 8800 feet and has gorgeous scenery.
